About Model U.N.
“The Model United Nations club engages in an authentic simulation of the United Nations system by learning about the UN system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. Members of MUN have fun learning about the workings of world diplomacy through the lens of current events.” |
What is Middle School Model UN (MSMUN)?
MUN, is an activity in which students represent delegates of their respective countries to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This takes place at conferences at local middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Conferences can last anywhere from one to two days. Delegates who show outstanding debate skills are selected for honorable mentions, best position paper, or Best Delegate.
During our curriculum, students will be introduced to debate by experienced high school students dedicated to their success. Every week they'll learn something new about the world around them, while also learning how to speak with confidence, and collaborate with others.

Our Program:
Tried and True:
We've spent a year building and testing our curriculum with over 200 middle school students, to ensure that we're providing the best educational package possible. Throughout our work with Commonpoint Queens and other independent public schools, we've received praise from teachers and students alike.
